​On July 12, 2025, the ​​CBRC Financial Powerhouse Forum​​ was held at the ​​Belt and Road International Education Center of Shihezi University​​ in Xinjiang, China. The event gathered ​​over 200 delegates​​ from the global financial academia, government agencies, and business sectors. Co-hosted by the ​​China Banking Research Center (CBRC)​​, Shihezi University, the Eighth Division Shihezi Municipal Government, and the ​​Advanced Financial Managers Committee (AFMA)​​, the forum centered on the theme of "​​Cross-Border Finance, Talent Development, and Western Expansion Strategy​​". Discussions focused on leveraging Xinjiang's pivotal role in the Silk Road Economic Belt to advance China's financial opening-up and resource allocation for real-economy growth.
